On March 3, 2020, the City of Oconomowoc Common Council approved our plan to build a 2,500-seat Baseball field and 43,000 square foot indoor health and wellness training center. The facility will be truly unique to Waukesha County and will provide people of all ages the ability to train, practice and play a number of different sports 12 months out of the year.
Construction of the ballpark and indoor facility is expected to begin in late spring of 2020, with a goal of Opening Day in the summer of 2021.
The outdoor baseball facility will be the future home of a summer collegiate baseball team in a yet-to-be-announced league, that will include top prospects and athletes from all College divisions. These types of leagues provide players with an opportunity to potentially take their game to the professional level. The season typically runs from late May through early August.
Food and beverage offerings will include a wide variety of unique and fresh menu selections that will compliment the traditional stadium food favorites. Blue Ribbon Baseball will be sure to bring a local flavor to the ballpark with a heavy focus on quality and affordability. More information to come.
In addition to baseball, the facility will be a perfect place to gather with family and friends. It will also provide our corporate community with a venue to host outings, training seminars, etc. It will be built with a community vision that bring people together through various activities that could include movies in the park, musical acts, weddings, private parties and many other possibilities.
We thank everyone in the community, including Oconomowoc municipal leaders for all of your help and support. Let’s celebrate as we look forward Opening Day 2021!
